Ali Abdulwahab Al Mutawa Commercial Co. (AAW) and The North Face, one of the largest outdoor apparel and gear retailers, today announced the return of The North Face Challenge, one of Kuwait’s toughest multidiscipline athletic competitions to be held on Saturday, February 6, 2016 at Al-Mutla’a desert.

Pushing athletic enthusiasts to the limit, The North Face Challenge 2016 will consist of a 17km trail run in the middle of Al-Mutla’a desert, located north of Kuwait. Participants will not only be facing a race, but a challenge.

Last year, close to 120 enthusiasts from over ten countries participated in the challenge.

The North Face Challenge was developed by AAW in 2013 under The North Face, an American outdoor product company with clothing and equipment lines catered towards outdoor enthusiasts and athletes.

With a commitment to the Kuwaiti community, AAW develops and supports athletic, sport and health initiatives, including marathons, programs and additional challenges like the Al Roudan Tournament, Kuwait Charity Run, and the Flying Start Triathlon in addition to The North Face Challenge.
