The Athlete’s Foot sponsors annual 10K charity race, RunQ8

Ali Abdulwahab Al Mutawa Commercial Co. (AAW) today announced its sponsorship of non-profit organization, Fawzia Sultan Rehabilitation Institute (FSRI) for its annual RunQ8 10K charity race, Kuwait’s largest children’s charity event, held November 28 at Marina Crescent.

Under the patronage of the Ministry of Interior, this year marked FSRI’s fifth year hosting RunQ8 with a turnout of 2,200 participants running for a distance of 10KM, bringing the Kuwait community together in a fun, healthy family environment to raise funds for projects that improve the wellbeing of vulnerable members in Kuwait’s society.

All proceed of the event went towards supporting the Children’s Evaluation and Rehabilitation Center (CERC) founded and managed by FSRI to support underprivileged children with physical and/or cognitive disabilities in Kuwait.

CERC is a non-profit organization that provides affordable treatments catering to all segments of society, including families who cannot afford care. CERC fee structure is affordable to the average family in Kuwait as funds for some treatments for children are raised through the community, including the annual RunQ8 charity race. CERC also treats referrals from Bayt Abdullah Hospice for terminally ill children without fees.

AAW has an on-going commitment in CSR in more than half a dozen fields, contributing yearly to NGO activities in Kuwait encouraging sports events, athletics and youth activities across Kuwait through sponsorship and donations such as the Ruqayah Abdulwahab AlQatami Breast Cancer Foundation Hayatt First Pink Walkathon, 360 Mall Rijeemy Walkathon, and Al-Roudan Annual Indoor Football Tournament
